Praashekh, the young talented musician from Pune, India, features amongst the finest Sarodists of the younger generation in India. After having toyed with a mini-Sarod since the age of four, he started taking serious lessons from the age of seven from his father and guru Pt.Shekhar Borkar, now based in Pune. Praashekh has played at concerts all over India and various parts of the world.  Besides being true to the Indian Traditional form,Praashekh also experiments with world music. He has been composing and fusing his melodies with Western and Arabic forms. He has also been inspired by the Andalusian form of rendition.
